Welcome! I'm TB and I'm 38 years old. I have been working on the weight loss/maintenance thing for a while now. I lost 36 pounds using Weight Watchers back in 2001 only to gain it all back plus about another 36 pounds. In 2007, someone I worked closely and shared an office with, hadn't seen me for quite a while and when she saw me one day, she mentioned that I looked like I was "putting a few pounds on." Seriously! Someone actually called me out! That was enough to motivate me to lose 80 pounds through Weight Watchers. In February of 2008, I started working for Weight Watchers and have continued to work as a receptionist at 3 meetings weekly. Gradually, I started gaining and gaining and no I'm back to the weight loss thing. February 2012, Weight Watchers called me out and said I was gaining too much. Now, July 2012, I weigh 240ish and need to get serious once again.
I have 4 kids: 11, 8, 6 and 4. I love watching them grow and learn new things, so much that I'm staying home to watch them full-time while working part-time as a Music Therapist in a long term nursing facility.
Maintenance has been a challenge that I continue to try to conquer. It's tough! Especially when you love food! Luckily I love working out at the gym, if I had my choice, I'd do cardio all the time, but I do know the importance of strength training too.
