We discussed this in one of the meetings I worked last week. Isn't there chlorine in our drinking water? It really can't be that bad for us, can it?
Now, if I can only find info on eating too many carrots and your hands turning orange. My colleagues that I ate lunch with always laughed at me until they actually looked at my hands and they had a more orange tint than everyone else's. I eat a good 3-4 pounds of carrots weekly and don't plan on changing till I turn into a carrot ;)

I have never heard of your hands turning orange if you eat too many carrots. Interesting.
Both of my girls loved the orange vegetables when they were little and went around with orange noses for several years! It is so hard to know what to believe when all these reports come out. I tend to ignore them for the most part.
I was thinking about the same thing this morning, as I ate some Crustless Pumpkin Pie. I'll have to compare my hands here...hmmm. I do get a headache if I eat too much pumpkin. I eat a lot of carrots too...
I'll have to check your link. Chlorine is in our water here but we have a reverse osmosis filter on our tap. If you let your water stand, the chlorine will dissipate in 12-24 hrs. We used to have to do that for our aquarium. D
I love baby carrots and have them every day :)
and then? will we call you carrottop like the comedian? will the blog name shift to orangie mcorangertons journey?
Drinking water does indeed have chlorine -- but it's a good thing. I do some work with the American Chemistry Council on the subject and chlorine has actually been used in U.S. drinking water for about 100 years to kill harmful bacteria.
3-4 lbs of carrots........wow!!!! Good for you!
Actually, I have heard of it turning you an orangish tinge........so watch out ;) for a very hungry bunny!
Seriously, my mom used to work with a guy who was totally into health and juiced carrots .........he drank it constantly and was quite orange!
Im still laughing about the phrase you coined in your comment.
TOOTSIEFEST.
love. it sounds like a rock concert.
Dang, that's a lot of carrots! Did I miss the "carrot diet" post?
I have heard of your skin turning orange if you eat too many carrots and I believe there actually is a condition from eating too many. I read about it when I was researching my page Baby Carrots ~~ When Is A Carrot Not A Carrot?.
In regard to baby carrots, there is a simple choice. You can buy carrots labelled 'baby carrots' versus carrots labelled 'baby-cut carrots'. Read more about the baby carrot controversy on my page!

I knew someone who ate a lot of carrots too and yes, you could tell from the color of her skin.
