26.2 Miles

Last week, my gym had a special "Fiesta Week." Lots of cool activities throughout the week, one that I particpated in was the week long marathon.  I had the entire week from Monday-Saturday to complete 26.2 miles.  When the week started, I did not think I could do it.  Monday I completed 2.5 miles.  This was after doing an hour spin class.  Tuesday, I barrelled through 5.75 miles, then took a personal training beating for a half hour after.  Wednesday, I was tired! I've signed up for a Fit-U club during May and June. It was the first class so we did lots of base line testing...how long can you hold a plank position? how fast can you run a 50 yd and 100 yd dash? how many crunches can you do in 30 seconds? I was beat! Ran 1 mile, but counted a 2 mile walk with the 2 yr old in the stroller as well.  Thursday, again I did spin, and ran 3 miles afterwards.  Friday, I banged out 8 miles! Never thought I could run 8 miles in a day, but I did it and felt great afterwards.  Saturday, I completed 4 miles and if my calculations are correct, I did it.

26.25!!

My exercise continues to be rockstar, but my eating leaves something to be desired.  I know I eat WAY too much fruit and I need to cut back and get something started in the way of a loss.  I lose a few, gain a few, lose a few, gain a few and can't get a good rhythm going.  Still trying!  Our weather has been not so nice lately and waiting for the nice warm Spring to get me out and moving at home and away from the kitchen cupboards.

Happy May!!

Wow, that's a great goal to try! Thanks for the idea! It's difficult to keep fruit intake down - since it's so yummy. Maybe living in the colder (and more expensive?) climates help??!

Congratulations on your Marathon Run! You've probably run another one, at least, since then. It does sound to me like you're really getting into your workouts. Good for you! Keep up the great work! You're setting a fine example for your children. :)
