Friday Foods

My favorites from "Market Day."

First off, Triple Cheese Potatoes. It's a twice baked potato with loads of cheesy flavor. 170 calories, 4g fat, 3g fiber. It's a quick fix in the microwave and I usually go for these when the rest of the family is feasting on fries.

Second, Super Sweet Corn. This sweet corn is just as good as any fresh sweet corn from the Farmer's Markets around these parts. 60 calories, 0g fat, 1 g fiber. I usually throw some into a kettle with baby carrots and mushrooms for my evening veggies.

Third, ChickNsteaks. These are awesome. Little fat, great taste. 110 calories, 1g fat, 0g fiber. They're a little on the pricey side, but well worth it.

Forth, Stir Fry. My kids love stir fry. We usually add some water chestnuts for the "crunch" factor and enjoy it with some Uncle Ben's. The ready rice is quick and easy to prepare.

We make room in our monthly budget for these items partly because they taste good, but also because we are required to earn so much money through fundraisers for our daughters school and Market Day is an easy way to earn money towards our requirement.
