Are You Ready for Summer?

Dee over at D's Weight Loss Journey posed these summertime questions. I have noticed that we are spending a lot more time outside and a lot less time inside (by the computer).

1. What is your favourite food to enjoy outside?
I love my summertime veggies especially zucchini. Grilled to perfection.

2. Name a childhood memory in the great outdoors.
Going fishing in the Rock River, most every Saturday morning that I can remember with my Dad and my Grandpa. We went to fish for Bullheads for countless hours. Those were really some good quiet times and fond memories.

3. What would you say is the best way to spend an active summer day?
Mowing the grass, trimming the weeds and sitting back to listen to the Brewer Game afterwards while the kids play in the fenced in backyard.

4. Name a good current memory in the great outdoors.
Having family races "Fire Hydrant to Fire Hydrant." My 3 yr. old is getting pretty fast and doesn't need any head starts anymore.

I LOVE the family pic!! Very cute! Is your wife feeling huge now? She looks really good. I loved having the babies in my belly!

Thanks for doing my meme -- I loved hearing about "fire hydrant to fire hydrant" -- that would be good for getting back into jogging. Neat childhood memories and I forgot about grass cutting as 'active' stuff outside. I love cutting the grass. D

Wow, what a great picture. I remember when I had 4 kids 6 and under. It was so fun..........:)

And there isn't anything like the smell of the first lawn mowing of the year.

Thanks for stopping by my little space on the web! I haven't tried that new technique of weighing myself yet but if my scale does not cooperate this week, I might :)

the photo is too cute...and it's outside!! :-) Q and I enjoy just sitting outside, but the walks are just as much fun! Too bad we have to walk to the park to see much grass, though . . . it's odd not having the garden, grass, and plants to tend to this year.

I kept thinking there was something wrong with me because everyone was praising the kid so much and I just didn't get it. His voice was good but I found him to be pretty bland as an entertainer.

Have a good weekend with the family.
