Move More!

I love getting my 10,000 steps in daily. I'm not nearly as obsessive about it now than I was earlier on in my journey. Now, if I still have 1,000 or so to go, I'll let it go while in the past, I would have gone outside and walked around the block till I reached it.

I love riding my elliptical. When I first got it last August, I was riding everyday for at least 45 minutes. Now, I strive for 4 times a week of at least 30 minutes. I have not had a week with less than 4 times yet. I don't wake up early much anymore to do this, since I value every minute of sleep I can get.

That's it! Walking and the elliptical. So while I've been riding so many other bloggers experience with the 100 push up challenge, I thought it was about time to give it a try. My first week is complete and I cannot believe how sore my arms and pecs are. I've been moving, but not these muscles.

Move more! I have a better understanding of this since starting my journey. You don't have to go overboard, but you do have to get some movement in each day. Now, I've added the extra dimension of the push ups and I'll feeling it.

Next step: Who's in for the 100 sit-up challenge??

Well I can't even do one sit up, but your discipline with getting on the elliptical gives me an extra bit of motivation. I own one. In fact it stands huge behind me as I write this. I have no excuse, or at least no good excuse, not to use it diligently.

I think striving for 10,000 steps a day is a great goal. I don't keep track inside the house but I should start as I'm sure I get quite a few in chasing kids around all day. I don't know about 100 sit-ups but maybe 100 crunches ;) My abs need some serious work!

I would accept that challenge. That is an area I could use some help with, and the accountability would certainly be good for me, too! When do we start???

I'm still trying to figure out what GOAD is.

I agree it's just about moving more. Instead of having the kids carry all the laundry downstairs, I started doing it myself. Instead of just kicking the toys to the corner, I started picking them up and putting them away.

I need to get in on that sit up challenge, too. How does it work? After having all these babies, those are some saggy and stretched out muscles! lol

TB- Allow me. GOAD = Guys On A Diet, at group of online friends both men and women after the same goal. A healthy lifestyle.

Move More! I agree completely. It is going to take me a while on the hundred push-up challenge. I started but my wrist began to hurt and it was uncomfortable for days. 100 sit up challenge? Now that would be tough, but I would guess you could use the same #s as the 100 push-up challenge does.

Good Going TB! Move More!

OOH, I'd be in for the 100 sit up challenge.
Wait, what are these challenges? Do I need to start small?
Is this a WW thing that us non-WW don't understand?
Regardless, my abs need help. I need to make them strong and flatten my tummy.
100 push-ups...I can't do 1. Hmm...maybe I need to embrace these supportive exercise blogs....

Hey, on another note, see you soon! Can't wait to meet Benji and allow you and Claire and Liz a day away!

Movement is definately important, and our number one defense in gaining weight back, and losing it to begin with!

I'd be down for a situp challenge

100 situps sounds good to me too.

Although I'm crying at the thought of all the situps I'll have to do to get there....

I'm sticking with 100 pushups for now, but I'll be ready to move on once I conquer this one!
