100 Calories

I went to the store the other day and noticed that Orville Redenbacher's now has a 100 calorie 94% FF bag. Just out of curiosity, I glanced at the regular sized 94% FF bag. Taking WW into consideration, the point value for both are the same. The regular sized bag is only 20 more calories. What an advertising gimic! On Diet Detective, there's an interesting article about 100 calorie snacks actually causing people to gain weight. I will admit that I have been sucked into the 100 calorie craze and have bought them on ocassion. It seems to me that portion control would be a good thing. Unfortunately, I have little will power and the one bag turns quickly into two, and then three, and then...well, you get the picture. The only one's I have tried are the Reese's 100 calories snack mixes. I tell myself that it's "only 100 calories" and turn out eating more than I would of the regular sized or high fat stuff.

Do you buy 100 calorie snacks? If so, what's you favorite.

I do buy the 100 calorie popcorn because I will eat popcorn until it is gone whether it is 3 cups or a huge bowl! I seldom do the others.

I don't buy them for me, but we end up buying a lot for the kids' lunches so I'll eat one now and again. I'm better off just having a glass of water, then I;m not tempted to eat more like I am when I have one of those.

I do buy couple of them but stopped buying the fibre one bars because they were too much like a candy bar for me!

I do buy the 100 Calorie popcorn but that's about all. The reason I don't buy the others is because of a cost thing. It's cheaper to buy the whole box/bag and portion it out into small baggies or containers yourself.

ok, I totally never did the math, if it was only 20 more calories, I would've been buying the other bags all along...sheeesh.

Oh and I forgot lol, I don't really get into the 100 calorie snacks, I never did, thought I could get more by eating carrots, lol. although there was a time I really liked the hostess cakes! But now, i don't ever buy any of them.

I don't buy them. We have pretty much ridden the house of packaged stuff except the occasional fiber one bar or Kashi bar or crackers. A treat for us is SF FF pudding now and then or when I bake some healthy cookies. I just like know what I am putting in stuff. I make my own grab bags for snacks for the family. In snack baggies I put some raisins or dried cranberries, Kashi cereal or plain cheerios, and any kind of nuts....a small handful of each.

Yes, I buy them. In fact they were part of my intial diet plan on my 100 lb weight loss. I allowed my self 1 pack a day and I stuck to it. No nutritional value whatsoever, but a sweet is a sweet.. I like the oreo cookie/chips.
Still eat em , just not as much.
