The Biggest Loser

I'm sad to see the end of another BL season. It has helped motivate me to exercise at least an hour every Tuesday. I enjoy watching the challenges and the weigh-ins and usually fast forward through the workout stuff. I know how to sweat, why do I need to watch a bunch of people struggle that way? I am glad that the new season starts right after the new year as it will continue to help me stay motivated to ride the elliptical.

Thoughts about the season: I amazed at how many people lost more than 100 pounds! I amazed at how skinny Amy P looks, almost too skinny! I can't believe America voted Ed to be in the final and it's a good thing too, cause I don't think Heba would have won the money otherwise. Even though I couldn't stand the drama that Vicky created, I am truly amazed by her success. Jerry looks great!

I love watching the transformations and often wonder how many of them keep all the weight off. As a regular guy, I know how difficult it is on a day-to-day basis.

Off to watch the girls in the Christmas Concert...hoping the boys will be amused enough by the music to behave.

I expected Ed to be voted in to the finals due to so much buzz on the internet about people voting for him just to spite HER. I voted for Heba simply because I figured Michelle had a better chance of winning against her than against Ed...I wanted to make sure Michelle won rather than any of the 3 evil blue members. Thankfully the rest of America did not vote my way...based on percentages, if Heba had been in the final 3, she would have won the entire thing!

I voted for Ed just because he did ask America to vote for Heba. It seemed like he was always putting her first, which in and of itself isn't necessarily a bad thing, I suppose. I wanted to see him put himself first just once and acknowledge that it was OK for him to want to win, too.

I thought it was kind of sad that as soon as Allyson announced he'd won, he immediately looked over at Heba almost checking to see if it was OK for him to be excited or something. It didn't even seem like she was that happy for him which is also pretty sad, IMO.

All in all, I'm just glad Michelle won. She seemed to have really worked on overcoming the internal demons that lead to her weight issues in the first place. She also didn't play the cut-throat game that the others did, and I respect that.

Michelle so deserved it. I felt she had the most incredible emotional breakthrough and it showed the world what losing weight can do for you emotionally as well :)

Hope you enjoyed the concert. My son had his Monday and although it was LONG it was GREAT :)
