A Baby Crib

Once in a while, I try to remind myself of how far I have actually come. Today, I decided to Google my weight loss once again. 80.8 pounds. What did I come up with? A Simplicity Baby Crib! It puts things into perspective when you can actually see something that weighs as much as you have lost.

Last night, at one of the many WW meetings I've been working, a member lost .6 pounds. She was ecstatic saying that .6 pounds is over 2 sticks of butter. The next member to weigh in lost the same amount and was totally bummed. Why are we so hard on ourselves when in fact we have had success? I too, would have been the second member being bummed instead of rejoicing over the small loss that adds up sooner or later to a BABY CRIB!

Do you rejoice over the small victories or only have your eyes on the overall goal?

Until very recently, I had my mind only focused on 2 goals.....getting under 200 and getting to goal--160.

I am feeling the shift in my thinking this week and trying to appreciate the big picture.......a healthier body....even on the weeks I don't lose I am still so much healthier than I was a year ago.

It's good to set goals but when they become a source of stress, you should rethink them a little ;)

Hey, congrats on the crib :)

Haha, that's an awesome way of looking at it.

As long as you didn't have a baby in that crib before you got rid of it, I think we're ok. Oh man. I make myself laugh.

Congrats :)

Unfortunately, I find myself being the second person, bummed about small losses too. But my small losses have added up to 73.5 pounds so far, so I should be pleased!

We tend to be our own worst critics!
