Long Week

What a week! Monday we had snow, Tuesday we had snow, Wednesday we had once in a lifetime snow almost 2 feet!, Thursday was my birthday and today no school once again.  It was quite the week with my wife being home Wednesday and most of Thursday, the kids being home Wednesday and off today.  My girls went to grandma and grandpa's for a few days, sure makes the house quiet!

I worked out everyday this week.  On Tuesday, the bootcamp instructor went around the gym making sure everyone was planning on making it on Wednesday.  I told her if the weathermen were right, I was staying home.  They were right!  I was outrageous how much snow we got.  Milwaukee schools cancelled Wednesday classes at 10:00 in the morning on Tuesday.  They also cancelled Thursday classes because many of the roads and sidewalks were still not shoveled/plowed.  It was amazing! Wednesday morning, I shoveled and shoveled and shoveled some more.  A little after 8:00, the bootcamp instructor called our house and sadly announced that she couldn't get out so she was staying home.  I was a bit surprised she actually went out of her way to call us.  I know she called at least 5-10 of us that go to the gym daily.  There was no way I could have even gotten there by 9:00.  I couldn't even get out of the garage before about 11:00 and didn't finish shoveling everything till after 2:00, but I did make it to work in the evening.

Thursday, I celebrated my birthday.  My 5 yr old woke up this morning wondering when we were having birthday cake.  We went out to eat at Applebees and got a free birthday sundae which four of us shared.  Plenty and didn't have the temptation of cake around the house.

I've actually been doing great tracking this week.  Last Saturday, my Territory Manager from WW stopped in our center and gave me a quick pep talk along with a one minute motivation.  Got me to track all week, so that's a good thing.

Hoping for a good weekend.  Go Packers!
