Compliments

I received some strange comments since starting my weight loss journey. At work, most people know that I am losing weight, but there are a few that don't see me everyday. Like the CEO of the nursing home I work at; he caught a glance of me yesterday and did a double take. He walked away and then came back and said, "There's something different about you, but I'm not quite sure what." I just smiled and said, "Really?" Tonight, I was rehearsing with my community choir. We had rehearsal the day after Labor Day, but I was 20 minutes late. The last two weeks I have been unable to make it due to other commitments, so tonight I made it. Hadn't seen many of the guys all summer and one in particular mentioned that my hair looked lighter. Again, I smiled and continued on.

I've been told that I look taller by several people and maybe there is some truth to it. I know I'm walking with better posture, but who would have thought losing weight would make you taller. I'm still shooting for that extra inch, so I can make a higher goal weight with Weight Watchers.

Darn old age has actually made me go from 5 foot 5 inches to 5 foot 4 inches...hadn't even considered what that did to my points allowance!

I lost a lot of weight back in my 30's and one of my husband's friends saw us together and asked him if he had divorced "what's her name"...now there's a compliment!
